BPO ACADEMY NIGERIA ENGAGES UNILAG STUDENTS ON EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS
BPO Academy took its youth empowerment drive to another level on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, with its participation in the Annual Debating Competition of the University of Lagos Faculty of Arts Student Association (FASA),. The debate with the theme: Critical Differentials between Change and Transformation” held at the Faculty’s Arts Theatre had a representative of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University, Dean, Faculty of Art and other distinguished lecturers of the institution.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of BPO Academy who was represented by the Director of Special Projects; Mr Earl Okezie engaged the audience and the debaters on the topic “Succeeding in a Flat World”. He congratulated them on the successful organization of the event and stressed the importance of the subject of discussion in the light of prevailing global outsourcing trends.
He said the underlying question for the students is what lies ahead of them outside the four walls of the university. According to him, employers of labour now requires more than just a university degree, they need specific industry skills which the 21st Century workplace demands.
