Nigeria's BPO Competitiveness - Let's Build it

There is no better way to build Nigerian BPO capabilities than to develop a BPO talent base. BCI plans to launch its Mission Million Initiative in Nigeria by the end of the first quarter of 2010. BACAN - in addition to spearheading the training initiatives of the BCI Mission Million! across institution campuses - plans to develop a new breed of 2000 frontline leaders and managers in the next one year - all internationally certified by BCI - to help the current BPO players in Nigeria elevate their middle management quality; improve returns on employees and assets employed and enhance their brand appeal for foreign clients.

There is a great need to concentrate our attention on this challenge of talent dearth if we want to see Nigerian BPO industry perform to its potential. NBA with full support from the world leader BCI, is determined to make a difference.

Your Support - we need it

Needless to say, an initiative of this importance and scale cannot achieve its desired objectives and results unless government bodies and public service organizations support it with full gusto. The key to making BPO training and certification popular in Nigeria is to make people aware of the immense opportunities available in the BPO industry.

Since the Government of Nigeria is determined to promote and support outsourcing and BPO in a big way, it is only befitting that organizations like yours come forward and formally endorse all initiatives like this one which BACAN and BCI are so proud to launch in Nigeria. Our experiences in capacity building over the last decade in Nigeria have made us understand clearly the roles that your organization may play in promoting this cause effectively. ADVISOR: to help us identify, whenever required - the "thrust geographies" - where we should immediately concentrate our attention and start the training and skill-building activities

FACILITATOR: For encouraging and formally instructing all organizations and institutions linked to your organization to extend support in the form of endorsements; recommendations; co-branding

SPEARHEAD & CO‐INITIATOR: Your organization is also requested to formally participate in BCI‐NBA initiatives on worthy occasions and platforms and permit us to when through circulars and notifications all relevant departments about BCI and Project Phoenix and instructing/ requesting them to cooperate.

FINANCIER: In offering fee subsidies or re‐imbursements or education loan facilities to individuals who register for training and certification with BACAN.
